Pork Giniling



Giniling (pork) dish that is of ground pork as the primary ingredient. Ground pork is mixed and stewed on tomato sauce and water. Giniling contains not just Pork Meat it also has a mix of carrots, potatoes, raisins and green peas are added for additional flavor and nutrition.


Lots of Pinoys love this Giniling Recipe, This dish has been cooked by my Grandmother since I was a little kid, so this recipe is originally my Grandma's.

Now, let's start. to begin we will need this:
Ingredients
  • 1kl ground pork
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 cups potatoes, diced
  • 2 cup carrots, diced
  • 1cup tomato sauce
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • Green peas  (additional flavor and for presentation also) ^_*
  • Raisins (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Put-in the garlic and sauté until the color turns light brown.
  3. Add-in the onions and sauté for about 3-4mins.
  4. Add the ground pork and cook for 7 minutes.
  5. Add the tomato sauce, and water and let boil. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Put the carrots and potatoes in and stir until every ingredient is properly distributed. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. Add salt, ground black pepper, and sugar then stir again.
  8. Transfer to a bowl.
