PININYAHANG MANOK (Pineapple Chicken)

PININYAHANG MANOK

Another dish of chicken with pineapple, this is surely one of the best chicken dishes. One of the Chicken dish here in our province that is popular among the family dining table serves for parties and other occasions. A Chicken that is cut into small serving pieces and marinated for about 15-25 mins in pineapple juice. This is how easy to cook this dish, let us start by acquiring the ingredients.
Ingredients:
  • 1 kl Chicken (cut into small serving pieces)
  • 1 can of pineapple juice
  • 1 piece of pineapple (sliced into small pieces)
  • 1 or 2 pcs carrots (sliced into small pieces)
  • 1/2 cup milk 
  • 1 garlic clove (diced/minced)
  • 1 red onion (sliced)
  • 2 tsp cooking oil 
  • Salt and pepper
Procedure:
  1. Marinade the chicken in your pineapple juice for about 15-25mins
  2. In a large pan, put the 2 tsp cooking oil and sauté the garlic and add the red onion
  3. Add the chicken and cook it until it turns light brown.
  4. Add the marinade pineapple juice and 1/2 cup milk and bring to boil
  5. Add the pineapple chunks and simmer for about 5-10mins or until the chicken is tender
  6. Add the carrots, salt and pepper to taste and simmer again for 5mins
  7. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving plate
  8. Serve hot with hot rice
